Today, so i decide to talk about something slightly different, it commonly found among people across the country with their diverse beliefs and culture. A number of times people try to make judgements about what is good
and what is not, so here i have come up with a very interesting but very unique perspective on this, here are the 2 types of beliefs you are sure to find in Nigeria which u will not
find elsewhere any place in the world, no 3, will shock you.....
(1). An average Nigerian
will say or think that a person will not succeed or become be rich if he or she
continue to keep dates/boyfriend/girlfriends and keep out late at night
until and unless the person decide to settle down.
(2). The second belief a
typical Nigeria holds is that you should not stop by to pick up a
stranger or people who are distressed on the road due to financial
or roadside constraint who cannot afford to board a commercial bus from where they are standing to where they are heading to, This belief is
evidently fueled in us due to all what we see in Nollywood, where a
person stops by the road side to help/pick up unknown persons and get them
to their destination but unknowing to them that they will still turn
out to be either thieves, hired assassins, a witch voodoo powers and
thereby causing harm or death. The most powerful source of such beliefs
like i have said as been subconsciously programmed into us from/by our
parents....
(3). The third one is, and this is totally shocking, if you are
a very committed person to the things of God like going to every church
services and meetings, prayers, studying the world God and evangelizing
people immediately start calling you a pastor/prophet assuming that it
is what God has finally set as a path and purpose for you to embark on in life. As if that is not enough some people, particularly those who have more influence on you than normal while like to enforce the If you
have found yourself in this situation, please don't hesitate to share
with us what has been your experience and what are people saying about
you and your commitment towards the things of God. Please tell us in the
comment box below, Thanks (smile).....
